Following the loss of his daughter, Jerre Petersen, owner of Negative Perfection Printers, found consolation by exploring and photographing Oregon's landscape. In 2003, he wrote, designed, and self-published his first book titled Heart Works: A Father's Grief, which won the 2004 Benjamin Franklin award.
Heart Works: A Father's Grief, in both hardcover and softcover, features 96 pages of full color photography and from-the-heart feelings of grief.
